Follow our simple step-by-step guide and get your pool visible to more people today:
Note: Follow these steps on a computer or laptop instead of the Facebook app on a phone or tablet as it will not work to set this up through the app.
Step 1: Go to Facebook Marketplace (top menu) > Create New Listing (left side)
Step 2: Choose listing type: Item for Sale
Step 3: Fill out the listing information--
Photos: Use the photos from your Swimply Listing
Title example: Incredible Private Pool For Rent By The Hour
TIP:
- Do not use your Swimply Pool Listing title. Pick a title that will be exciting to Facebook viewers and interested swimmers.
Price: Your Hourly Price from your Swimply Listing
Category: Swimming pool (begin typing for this option to come up)
Condition: "New" or "Used-Like New"
Description example: A few sentences about your pool. You can copy/paste the first couple of sentences from your Swimply listing description. You can also mention some basics like "Bathroom access, salt water, amenities available".
End the description with: "For availability and bookings please go to {link to your pool on Swimply} or DM me directly."
How to get your Pool Link: View your Pool Listing on Swimply.com and click on the Link icon near your Pool Title on the listing page:
TIPS:
- When you include the link to your pool in the description, unfortunately it won’t be clickable. You can add a note for people to copy and paste your link into a new window.

- You do not have to fill in the fields for Brand, Material, or SKU
Step 4: IMPORTANT: Turn on "Boost Listing After Publish"
Step 5: Click "Next"
Step 6: Confirm the location is correct and click "Next"
TIP:
- On the next screen Facebook recommends some Groups you may wish to consider joining to promote your listing. It's not necessary to join any new groups to publish your listing on the Market. However, in Groups that allow sharing Marketplace listings, it can be an excellent way to expand your views.
Step 7: Click "Publish"

PRO TIP:
- If you have Facebook Ads Manager you can customize your target audience settings to a closer range, for example: Max distance from you 15 miles.
Step 2: Add a Payment Method
Step 3: Click "Boost Now"
Getting Responses to Your Listing
When your listing goes live you may start receiving responses immediately! When people see your listing they can respond easily by use the pre-populated suggestions to start a conversation, which means you may get a lot of replies that look identical and say something like "Is this still available?". Don't worry, they're not bots, they are likely super eager swimmers so go ahead and reply.
TIP
- People will frequently ask you the same questions. To save time, consider having “snippets” of text replies to those frequent questions that you can cut and paste into your reply.
