Creating an instagram page for your listing is a great way to market.
Having a social media account for your listing is a great way to market yourself, and get your listing out there.
Now instagram can be hard to manage, but once you start using the app and get familiar with it I promise it will be worth it. Feel free to click on this instagram link to help you get started with creating your account.
Amazing, your account is set up, what next?
We suggest starting your account with a strong name. We highly recommend connecting your listing name to your town and city as this will tie in building a community. You can also create a handle that matches the title of your listing. You want to give your instagram a memorable & unique name so others can remember it.
Time to start posting - start by taking photos of your listing during different times of the day. This will showcase to potential guests and followers use cases for your listing. The key to a successful instagram is to be consistent with when you post and be diverse in what you post. Take this opportunity to illustrate minor details of your listing. Keeping aesthetics of your listing is very important as this will differentiate your listing from others. This will further attract guests to go to your listing and book your listing.
When photographing your listing, make sure your space is prepared. Check out our guide on How to take High Quality Photos on your smartphone and how to style your space.
When posting images on Instagram make sure to curate your photos and create captions to further highlight your photos. Not every image has to be about the space, try to highlight the seating area and other amenities. There are times where guests use the amenities more than the actual space.
If your listing is geared towards events, make sure to snap a picture of your listing before the event starts. This gives potential guests an idea of how they can use your listing for their specific events. We highly recommend messaging the guests and have them post on social media and tag your account and Swimply’s account so you can repost the story.
