Being Verified is not required to Host a listing on Swimply, but it is highly recommended. Having a verified profile makes you a more desirable Host, pushes your listing up in the search results, and leads to more bookings. Guests feel more comfortable booking with Verified Hosts, as they know your identity and listing have been confirmed by a member of the Swimply team.
In fact, when we polled our Guests, 90% stated they only look to book with Verified Hosts. Private information you provide to us such as your driver’s license or utility bill are kept confidential and only used to verify your identity and listing location.
The first step to verification is uploading a profile picture. Show Guests what you look like, so they know who to expect upon arrival. If you Host with someone else (such as a spouse, roommate or other family member), include them in the picture as well. While this is not technically a verification factor, it does ease Guest concerns and make them more likely to book with you.
There are three levels of verification, and if you complete all three, you will receive a blue badge and two blue +’s beside your name on your listing. Completing one will get you the blue badge, and completing two will get you a check mark and one +. All three levels of verification can be obtained by doing the following:
-
-
- Personal ID: Upload a copy of a Government issued ID such as a Driver's License or passport.
- Proof of address: Upload a recent utility bill (within the last 2 months) with your name (that matches your Government ID and Swimply profile) and address (that matches the address associated with your Swimply listing).
