What are booking requests for listings?
Some of our listings are only available upon request. When you submit a booking request, a pending charge will be applied to your credit card.
What happens if the host approves my booking request?
If the host approves your request, your card will be charged immediately.
What happens if the host declines my booking request?
If the host declines your request, the funds will be instantly released, and the hold on your credit card will be removed within 24 hours.
What happens if my booking request is not approved?
If a booking request is not approved, the request will expire within 24 hours, and the hold on your credit card will be removed. The time it takes to reflect in your account depends on your banks processing speed. We typically suggest waiting 3-7 business days.
How long does it take for my card issuer to remove the original charge from my pending charges?
You may need to wait until your card issuer removes the original charge from your pending charges within 5-7 business days.
What happens when the hold on my card is canceled?
When the hold on your card is canceled, you will not see a refund credit on your statement. Instead, the original authorization will disappear completely after 3-7 business days. No payment will be made, and no refund will be issued. It will appear that the whole transaction never took place. Your bank should also be able to confirm this.
