From months to hours, here's how to manage your listings availability
One key to being a successful host is managing your availability, bookings, and pricing all in one place. Calendar 2.0 has a ton of awesome features to make your hosting experience better so lets check it out!
In your calendar you can manage multiple dates, set boosted or discounted prices for specific days, and manage your availability all in one user-friendly place.
So let's talk about how you can use them to make your Swimply hosting experience even better.
Looking at the calendar you will notice where at a glance you can see if:
- You have a booking scheduled on the given day (dot in top left corner)
- There is a price modifier for the day (percentage in bottom right corner)
- The day is partially unavailable because of blocked hours (half gray background)
- The day is fully unavailable (full gray background)
From this view you can now select MULTIPLE dates to manage all at once. Once you select the date or dates you want to manage, you will see:
- The date/s you have selected
- What your availability on those dates (request, instant, blocked, partially blocked)
- The price of your listing for those specific dates
- Your schedule for those dates
From here you can edit the price and/or availability for selected dates.
Availability: For editing Availability you can set the selected dates to:
- Available, Instant - Makes all selected dates instant book
- Available, Request - Makes all selected dates require booking requests
- Partially unavailable - This will forward you to another screen for selecting sections of blocked time
- Fully unavailable - Makes all selected dates fully unavailable
Pricing: For editing your pricing you can set discounts, weekday discounts and surge pricing:
- Click on the date that you want to adjust your pricing for and click “manage”
- Click on “Price”
- Click on “Set discount or boost”
- From here you can choose if you want to set a discount or surge price. Once you've selected how much you want to set your discount / surge price for click “Apply discount” or “Apply boost”
Weekday discounts: Want to get more bookings during the week by offering discounts? Here’s how:
- Click “Pricing” under Host settings
- Click “Weekday discounts”
- Select how much you would like to discount for and click “Save”
Calendar Settings: To go more in depth with managing your availability in the calendar click on the settings icon on the top right corner. Here is where you can update your General settings, Advanced settings, Listing status and where you can also sync to your external calendar.
General Settings: This is the first step to setting up when guests can book your listing, as it allows you to select the days you want your listing to be open, and decide your overall hours of availability each day, how much time you need between bookings and the minimum booking length that you will accept.
Advanced Settings: Here is where you can get a bit more technical with your settings, This is where you can enable instant bookings and instant book guest maximum, how far in advance you need for a booking and how far in the future can a guest book your listing.
Listing Status: Make sure you keep this up to date! We have 3 listing statuses. Active, Pauses/ Offseason and Unlist.

- Active - Your listing is live, bookable and visible to the public in search.
- Paused / Offseason - Closing your listing for the winter? Going out of town? By pausing your listing you will not be bookable for this period of time.
- Unlist - Your listing will not be seen at all and is no longer listed.
Syncing To Your Calendar: Here is a great tool where you can link to other Ical applications such as Google and Apple Calendar. Just click the link and paste the link into other ical applications.
