What are some tips and tricks for creating a great video?
To create a great video tour, here are some tips:
- Timing: Shoot the video on a clear, sunny day. Allow your guests to envision themselves enjoying your space in the best weather possible by capturing the best lighting. We do not recommend shooting at night or on overcast days.
- Showcase your Space: Strike a balance between showcasing your main feature (such as your pool) while at the same time capturing the surrounding space. Take some wider angle shots of any amenities or special features such as hot tubs, barbeques, etc.
- Remove Clutter: Clear your space of any clutter. We recommend removing items such as pool toys, personal items, and so on. While pool toys are usually welcome amenities, we do not recommend showing them scattered around your pool in photos or videos.
- Equipment: Use high-quality equipment for your shoot, such as a modern smartphone or a camera.
- Angle: Shoot your video in landscape (horizontal) format.
- Commentate: Use audio commentary to explain the features or your listing, or edit the video and add text labels
Where will the video appear on my listing page?
The video tour will always appear as the second item in your listing’s gallery. This ensures that guests will see the video as they are browsing through your photos.
