In the Manage Listing tab of your profile you can further optimize specifics your Guest should know upon arriving at your specific listing. If you have multiple listings you can adjust settings separately by toggling through the Change Listing button at the top right. The following is what you can further optimize:
Set up Payments
- In order for Swimply to pay you after each booking, you need an active account with our secure payment partner platform, Stripe. Connecting your Swimply account is simple and can be done in a few minutes.
- Stripe can also be accessed from your profile directly. To learn how to connect your account to Stripe read here:
Add a Description
- Your description is a unique opportunity to stand out from the crowd and showcase what you offer at your space. Get creative with this and have fun as long as it accurately describes your listing as well as important information you would like to inform the Guest, such as rules!
Add Space Features
- Here is where you can further outline the type of pool as well as its exact dimensions. Please pay attention to the indicated metric so the sizing is correct:
- Additionally, you can indicate unique aspects inherent to your pool so Guests can see what your space is great for. This includes adding Stickers and whether or not your space is ADA accessible:
- Think of Stickers as filters Guests can use when searching for listings. Example of stickers can be 'Family Gatherings', 'Parties', 'Cooking', 'Video Shoots', etc. If your listing has that sticker it will show up for them making it easier for the guest to find the perfect space for their stay and narrow down their search.
- Selecting your stickers ensures your space’s unique offerings are front and center, grabbing the attention of the right crowd made exactly for your space. It's a simple but powerful way to communicate your space's versatility.
- Here's how to add those filters to your space:
- Click Profile on the bottom right
- Click Manage Listing
- Click Space
- Click Space Features
- Scroll down to Stickers
- Select the labels that describe your space!
- Save features
Add Amenities
- Here is where you can indicate what additions you are providing with the listing and whether or not they are included or added on as a premium:
- A typical amenity for pools is whether or not it is heated. If so, go ahead and click Heated then indicate whether or not you prefer it to be included or added on as a premium. If premium, indicate whether you charge a flat rate or hourly:
- Something you have that is not on the list? No problem, go ahead and add it at the bottom:
- When adding a custom amenity you can choose to offer it free of charge or as a “premium” amenity with a custom cost to your Guest.
- Free → It is always a great idea to offer a few free amenities to make your guests feel welcome. Examples of typical free amenities can include sunscreen, towels, or water bottles.
-
- Premium → Consider providing elevated amenities to improve the guests' experience. Examples of typical premium amenities include outdoor kitchenettes, yard games and pool toys. You can even use this feature to create party or catering packages for your Guests!
- Did the Guest reach out needing your help to remove an amenity? No problem, just follow these steps:
- Navigate to the booking of the Guest for whom you would like to modify the amenities.
- Click on the Amenities tab and select Make changes.
- Identify the amenities you wish to remove by clicking on the highlighted ones in blue. The highlight will be removed, indicating that the amenity is no longer active.
- Once you've made the necessary changes, click Save Amenities to confirm your modifications.
- Before finalizing, consider leaving a courtesy note for your guest explaining the changes and click Save Changes.
- Now, wait for your Guest's approval
Add Parking Information
- Indicate how many cars you can accommodate and details around how and where Guests should park. You can also communicate with the Guest the day of the booking but this will ensure they are informed ahead of time. The following can be communicated regarding parking:
- How many cars can be parked at your space
- Other nearby parking options
- free / paid street parking vs. nearby garage or lot
- Any additional context/details you want to provide
Add Privacy Information
- Disclose to your guests whether your space is Very Private, Somewhat Private, Not Too Private
Review Access Rules
- Confirm the maximum number of Guests as well as whether or not infants, children, and/or pets are allowed at your listing
- If pets are allowed please specify whether or not they are allowed to go into the pool:
Add Access Instructions
- Indicate whether or not you will be present to greet your Guests or if they require instructions to access themselves. If you will not greet your Guests you can upload photos and provide specific instructions for them to enter. Additionally, indicate whether you have any Recording Devices* or not
- Access can also be adjusted in the Host Settings section of your listing by clicking Edit next to Greetings and Access
Set House Rules
- Indicate whether or not the following is allowed at your space:
- drinking
- smoking
- parties
- third-party vendors
- loud music
- nudity
- any other rules you would like to list (optional)
- Rules can also be adjusted in the Host Settings section of your listing by clicking Edit next to Rules
Restroom Availability*
- Hosts who provide restroom access are 80% more likely to get bookings than Hosts without.
- 75% of our Hosts offer access to a bathroom within their homes, whether it be through a side door, basement or primary entrance.
- Of course, unless you live in a home with a second structure by the pool or direct access to a bathroom from the outside, it’s likely that Guests will have to enter your house to use the bathroom. We do understand that not everyone is comfortable letting Guests into their house, and that some hosts are not home to provide that access during a booking. Although Swimply does not provide portable restrooms, renting one is a great option.
- Portable Restroom Options:
-
rentals should be around $100-$300 a month, and include a weekly cleaning service. We recommend searching online to find a few different vendors in your area, then call to obtain quotes to find the best option for you.
-
- Portable Restroom Options:
*PLEASE NOTE: To best protect the safety and security of our users, Swimply allows for recording and monitoring devices such as security cameras and noise monitoring devices. These devices must be clearly disclosed in the listing details and cannot be located in or capable of monitoring restrooms or changing areas. Furthermore, any data obtained by these devices cannot be used for non-Swimply purposes.
