We're so excited you've decided to plan your next party with Swimply! Parties mean lots of fun and great memories made at a terrific Pool with a welcoming Host. Parties often will mean some extra thought, planning, and preparation is necessary. At Swimply we want to make sure you’ve got everything you need to throw the greatest gettogether. But unlike a commercial space, our Hosts are real people and you'll be at their home.If you'd like personalized assistance to find the right pool for your event, reach out to us by visiting our Contact Page and select "help with event planning" from the how can we help you? drop down menu.
BE AWARE: Extra large parties that are marketed on social media with tickets sold to attendees and DJ's or other staff hired are no longer accepted on Swimply. Bookings like this will be canceled immediately. The security, wellbeing, and peace of mind of our Hosts and their neighbors are our highest priority. Read more information about this ban here.
Here are our Tips and Advice for how to make sure your upcoming party goes off without a hitch!
Before the Party:
It's essential that you communicate with your Host to make sure that you've both shared all the details, important information, and answered any questions either of you have. Using Swimply chat for this will ensure that if any issues arise later, Swimply Support can review the conversation and take appropriate action.
- Introduce yourself to your Host and let them know a little about what you are celebrating at their pool.
- Estimate the number of guests as accurately as possible and tell the Host. If you don't know exactly how many people are coming, let your Host know that you have booked for an estimated number of people. They will let you know how flexible they can be about extra people. They may ask that you book for more people to be safe. If the final number is fewer, and you and the Host agree on the count, Swimply will refund you the cost of those extra guests. You can also confirm custom changes with your Host via the Swimply chat or contact Swimply Support. Never exchange funds through private apps (Venmo, Zelle, etc) as these are not covered by Swimply.
- Ensure that you and all your guests are aware of the Host’s pool rules. Each Host has Pool rules. Their rules are displayed on their Pool Listing and the Host may remind you of them when you've gotten in touch. Everyone who arrives at the Pool should be aware of the Host's rules and is expected to follow them.
During the Party:
- Have an awesome time!
- Be safe, if you have any safety questions be sure to ask your Host about them.
- Be prepared to wrap up the party when the end of your reservation approaches. Unless you've made special arrangements with your Host, the end of your reservation means the end of your party.
- If the Host informs you that the party has gotten out of hand and they want you to leave, even if your reservation isn't over, you are required to respect their direction, end the party, and have all your guests leave the Host's property.
How can I be mindful of neighbors?
It is of utmost importance to us that Swimply only brings joy to communities, so we ask you to do your best to be courteous and considerate of your Host and their neighbors. Be sure to educate your invitees on your Host’s rules including parking preferences, and keep noise and music levels at a reasonable level.
After the Party:
If you had a great time, leave your Host a glowing review so other parties know they can party there too!
