There are 2 different badges you can get on your Swimply listing.
- Fan Favorite badge
- Top Swimply badge
Both of these badges will help your listing attract more swimmers and secure more bookings, read about how you can earn these badges below!
"Fan Favorite" Badge
What is the Fan Favorite Badge:
The Fan Favorite Badge highlights hosts who have received 2+ repeat bookings in the last 12 months. Repeat Bookings are any booking where the guest has previously booked at your listing beforehand. We want to recognize that popularity and commitment to exceptional hosting. You can view repeat guests in your bookings tab!
FAQ
Q: How do I earn the Fan Favorite Badge?
A: The badge is earned by having guests rebook at your listing. Listings who have received 2+ repeat bookings in the last 12 months are eligible to receive this badge.
Q: How do I track my performance towards earning the badge?
A: In the Performance Tab, you can now see the breakdown of bookings by unique guests (the total number of guests who have booked your listing) and also the total number of repeat guests (the total number of users who have booked your listing multiple times)
Q: How will I know I’ve earned the badge?
A: You’ll be able to view the badge when you click on your listing. It will appear under the title of your listing but will not show in search,
Q: Can I lose the badge?
A: This badge is earned based off of the most recent 12 months.
Q: What if most of my bookings are one-time big events?
A: Of course, we recognize that not all listings are as suited for repeat bookings; however, every listing is eligible to receive the badge if they do receive enough repeat bookings. Furthermore, this badge is meant to highlight our listings that have received a high number of repeat guests, but just because you don’t have this badge does not mean you don’t have a great listing or aren’t a great host. You can still earn the Top Swimply Badge and have incredible success on Swimply even if you don’t have the Fan Favorite Badge (plus with enough success you can always still earn it).
"Top Swimply" Badge
*Top Swimply Badges are shown in search results, leading to higher conversion and more bookings!
Top Swimply badges are given to hosts with:
- A 90% success rate-which is equivalent to a “great” success rating in your host performance tab.
The success rate of your listing is very closely tied to your cancellation rate, in fact if you are an instant book listing the two numbers should add up to 100%. Where this score is very important however is if you are a request listing. This score will represent the number of requests you got for your listing that ended up booking your space. So think any declined or expired requests which represent “money left on the table” and a lost booking. As with the Cancel rate, this will not take into account guest cancellations. The way this metric is calculated is:(Number of completed/confirmed booking/ number of valid booking)
-
- Great: Above or equal to 90%
- Not Bad: above or equal to 75% and below 90%
- Needs Work: below 75%
- A median response time of under one hour- which is equivalent to a “great” response time in your host performance tab.
This is based on how quickly you respond to potential guests in the chat. As we know, responding quickly to booking requests and general questions is super important to “closing the deal” and getting the guest to choose your space. It’s also helpful in getting that all important five star review once the booking is complete. The way this metric is calculated is:The score will take the median of all messages replied by hosts and the scores will be assigned as follows:
-
- Great: Less than or equal to 1 hour
- Not Bad: More than 1 hour and less than or equal to 12 hours
- Needs Work: More than 12 hours
- A cancelation rate of 5% of lower- which is equivalent to a “great” cancel rate in your host performance tab.
Cancellation should always be the last resort for hosts and we should always try to work with guests to reschedule–you can even offer them a discount within the app for the inconvenience. For this cancellation rate we will only take into account bookings that are canceled by the host and not if the guest cancels their booking. The way this metric is calculated is:(Number of bookings canceled by host / number of valid bookings)
-
- Great: below 5%
- Not Bad: Above or equal to 5% and below 10%
- Needs Work: Above or equal to 10%
- A 4.8 star review rating or higher. Read this article to learn more about best review practices!
Q: Can I have both badges?
A: Yes! If earned, both badges will show on your listing and your top host badge will show in search.
