Swimply allows hosts to set their reservation method as either Instant or Request Based booking.
Only in the instance of Request Based booking are you as a host required to take timely action. The following are steps you will take leading up to a booking’s confirmation:
-
Pre-Approval
- Some Guests may have questions before booking a reservation. A great way for Guests to ask a question is through the Contact Host button shown on every listing. When a Guest has an inquiry about a listing, they will submit their question and requested booking details. This is an opportunity for a Host to answer the questions and decide if the booking will be approved.
- After reviewing, should you choose to accept, click on the Pre-approve button.
- Please Note: Pre-approving a booking does not mean its confirmed. The Guest must still choose to confirm and finalize the booking in order for it to be scheduled onto your calendar.
-
Booking Request
- A Guest will request your listing, which sends an actual request with all their booking details to your Pending Reservations tab for your review. This can be found by selecting Reservations and then Pending. When a request is Pending, the time is blocked in your calendar so no other requests can be booked for the same period.
-
Accept or Decline
- You can review any pending requests and manually accept or decline* them within 24 hours. Before you accept, make sure you are comfortable with the Guest, their reason for booking, and any other details. If you have any questions for the Guest, make sure to address them in the Swimply inbox. Some things to consider and voice to the Guest include but are not limited to the following:
- if you only allow family swims
- If you wish to avoid large events
- confirm the total Guest count
- if you will not be present to greet them
- reiterate any pool or space rules
- parking tips

Confirmation
- Once a booking is Approved, the Guest will be charged immediately and the booking will be moved to the confirmed status. At this time, your Pool’s address and any relevant booking details will be revealed to the Guest under the Reservation Details, which can be found here.
- Please note: Swimply builds in an optional 30-minute buffer between bookings, to allow a more private experience for Guests and for cleaning the space. This buffer time can be changed here.
*Please Note: Each party must honor the reservation for the Swimply marketplace to work for Hosts and Guests. If you decline or approve and then cancel bookings consistently, our system will flag your listing, which may be deactivated until we touch base with you.
We understand that life comes up! In the unfortunate event you do need to cancel a booking, please make sure you are the one to cancel it. If you request your Guest cancel on their end, they will only receive a partial refund. If you are having trouble canceling a booking, please contact Swimply Customer Care for assistance.
