There are two booking styles hen reserving a listing on Swimply: Instant Booking vs. Requested Booking:
Instant Booking
Allows interested Guests to confirm a reservation and make the payment without any wait time! Once checkout is completed, the pool's address and access information are made available to you. Pools that offer instant booking will have this icon: .
Instant booking is quicker than the request-based booking process in which you make a reservation request and wait for the Host to manually review and confirm.
As long as it is within the listing's cancellation policy, you can cancel an Instant Booking reservation and receive a refund.
Request-Based Booking
This is a setting which the Host can enable at any time. When you submit a booking request, a pending charge will be applied to your credit card until the Host approves or declines the request.
If the host approves your request, your card will be charged immediately and your booking will be confirmed.
If the host declines your request, the funds will be instantly released, and the hold on your credit card will be removed. You will not see a refund on your transaction statement. You'll simply see the original authorization disappear completely within 7 business days. No payment will be made and no refund will be issued. It will appear that the whole transaction never took place.
You may need to wait until your card issuer removes the original charge from your pending charges within 5-7 business days. If you have any questions or are experiencing a delay please reach out to your bank.
