When will I need to pay a security deposit?
Some hosts will ask for a refundable security deposit for large bookings with 30+ guests. If a deposit is required, it will be clearly communicated at checkout.
What happens if a security deposit is included in a booking?
Security deposits will be collected at the time of checkout.
After a booking, if there is no damage, we will initiate a refund of the deposit 24 hours after the reservation ends. It will be returned to the original form of payment within 7-10 business days.
If there is damage, hosts must file a claim with customer support. Customer support will then resolve the claim and notify you of the outcome. Hosts cannot keep a deposit without express approval from Swimply customer support.
Swimply is currently unable to initiate the return of the security deposit prior to the commencement of the booking. The system requires the booking to conclude before the deposit can be refunded.
