Reservations marketed as events with ticket sales, entry fees, or that are promoted on social media as open invite along with other significantly disruptive elements are prohibited. These often include but are not limited to DJs, outside sound-systems, cash bars, or third party vendors. These types of events are inconsistent with our core value of respecting the surrounding community. In addition, Guests with weapons do not belong at a Swimply reservation. We stand with our Hosts on this ban as we both feel the pain when an unauthorized party occurs during a Swimply reservation.
To prevent reservations such as those indicated above, our system flags high-risk reservations. If a Guest without a strong prior history is found to be making reservations with the intent of marketing their events publicly (e.g., social media) or charging ticket sales or entry fees, we will immediately refund and cancel the reservation, and no payout will be made to the Host. Hosts who knowingly allow theses types of reservations are subject to consequences up to and include removal from the platform. Guests who violate this policy also may face severe consequences, including a lifetime ban from Swimply and possible legal action.
